WHAT IS CLEAR TRAP |
Clear Trap is designed to maintain free-flowing grease traps and drain lines without odors. This natural microbial energizer promotes the breakdown and digestion of grease and solids to eliminate the necessity for periodic pumping. |
When Clear Trap is administered on a regular schedule, the trap actually becomes a digester, converting grease and solids to carbon dioxide and water. And, Clear Trap eliminates the unpleasant odors from traps and lines! Clear Trap is made from a blend of plant extracts that undergoes a molecular cell change, transforming into a bacterial catalyst. The specific catalyst is what separates Clear Trap from anything on the market today. Clear Trap has been successfully used in restaurants, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and other various institutions where large-scale food preparation and clean-up present special problems in wastewater disposal. |
Administered on a regular schedule, you will see the results! |
HOW DOES CLEAR TRAP WORK |
Grease and water flow into the grease trap. The grease rises to the surface, hardens and must be periodically removed by a costly pumping procedure. When added on a daily basis Clear Trap hastens the biological breakdown of animal fats and grease. This results in the release of light oils that float to the top and water soluble components that degrade rapidly in the waste stream. Therefore, no pumping is required or pumping is greatly reduced. |
There are several problems that occur in various degrees in every restaurant: #1 Grease Build-Up in Grease Traps #2 Grease Build-Up in Drain Lines #3 Grease Laden Floors #4 Odors #5 Drain Flies Problem #1: Grease Build-Up in Grease Traps Some restaurants do not have a grease trap so, you may ask, “What is a grease trap?” A grease trap is an efficient device which traps grease from dishes, pots and pans and other sources. When the grease is sent down the drains it is caught in a tank, “the grease trap.” Once the grease is in the trap it rises to the top and stays above the outlet pipe which allows water and other acceptable waste to travel downstream to the waste treatment center. Once this grease builds and before it travels down stream, it must be pumped out and taken to a proper disposal site. This need to pump the grease trap varies from as frequently as once a week to once a year. The factors determining the need to pump the grease trap are: (a) the type of food served and cooked, (b) the number of meals served, (c) hours open each day and (d) the detergent used to clean dishes. Our research shows the average restaurant pumps its grease trap once a month. Our Cost will typically save you 40 - 50 % of your pumping Cost. The solution is Clear Trap. |
Problem #4: Odors The above problems create bad odors when a stoppage occurs or when the grease trap is pumped. Sinks in the bar and the urinals in restrooms are other sources of bad odors. The solution is Clear Trap. |
Clear Trap eliminates odors! |
Mopping the floor with Clear Trap up to three times a week will eliminate grease on the floors! |
Problem #3: Grease Laden Floors If the restaurant is like most others, the kitchen floors are quite greasy and very slippery. In fact, rubber mats are used to keep employees from slipping. The cleaners on the market today do not sufficiently clean the kitchen floor without damage. Some of the degreasers currently sold do clean the grease but at the cost of the floor grout. Often the people mopping at night do not pay as much attention to the floors as they should. As a result, the floor remains slippery. The solution is Clear Trap. |
Clear Trap eliminates the grease from the pipe walls! |
Problem #2: Grease Build-up in Drain Lines If the restaurant does not have a grease trap, the grease flows down the pipes and continues to the waste treatment facility. During its trip down the pipes, the grease begins to adhere to the pipe walls. This naturally creates a stoppage in the pipes causing problems from slow draining to complete kitchen floods. By Keeping these lines clean we help to reduce the plumbing cost over the year to clean lines. The solution is Clear Trap. |
